Week Two

Week Two was an exciting week for us here at Sir William.  With the weather looking good we decided to try out rowing...

Sophie was too busy looking after all the iPods!

But our students had a wonderful time on the river Thames.

After a rocky start, they were rowing like professionals!

Rowing isn't all we got up to this week though. Our students worked on another set of t-shirts.

Our girls loved adding colour to their t-shirts.

On Saturday night we held our second disco

The students loved the music..

And so did the staff!

To round off the week, we took a trip to Brighton!

Brighton was looking gloomy when we got there. But that didn't stop us from having fun.
Some went shopping, some visited the pier and some went for some traditional sea side food.

Here's some of our staff members enjoying the fish and chips!

Brighton pier isn't the only place we visited. We also had the chance to explore the Sea Life Centre.

Our group of students we so excited to go inside, even the weather couldn't stop them from cheering!

Once inside they had the chance to touch some of the fish. Yuck!

Andrey even had time to make friends with a Sting Ray!

I'd say it was a pretty successful Excursion to Brighton...

Well, apart from the shark attack!

Week One

Week one passed by really quickly for us here in Richmond.
We still had time for lots of fun activities though!

Our girls loved designing their very own t-shirts!

Next it was time for some mask making, nothing too scary though, fortunately!

YUM! These cakes look delicious!

The weather wasn't looking its best this week, but that didn't stop our sporty bunch from playing volleyball.

Some even decided it was time to try ultimate frisbee!

On our Oxford excursion, the students loved to learn about the beautiful architecture of Oxford.

Here are a few admiring the view!

Taking in the scenery isn't all they did though; they even found time to dance to the music of some street performers!

And if that wasn't enough, they enjoyed visiting Christ Church college, the inspiration for the Hogwarts!

Egor, Andrey, Evgeny and Anton enjoying the scene from above.

Our girls loved feeling like they were in Hogwarts!

On our final night we celebrated with disco.

Welcome to Sir William!

We are very excited to welcome our new students to week one at Sir William, based at The American International University in Richmond.

Our course director, Edwina, is busy making sure everyone settles into their rooms and gets to know their timetable.
Look how happy Edwina is to be at Sir William!

Our school is very beautiful, and a short walk from the River Thames and Richmond Park, so we have been doing a lot of art activities.

Here are the winners of our first charcoal sketching competition!

Abdullah and Alexa have been decorating photo frames.

It's been a great start to the week, and we are all looking forward to our first visit to London on Wednesday :)
